Ok so that picture is from a previous year, but it is definitely winter outside. This is finally the year where the egg of an idea I’ve been incubating for years hatches into a “for real” guide service. It’s easy to think that all you need is some good fishing knowledge, customer service skills, a solid work ethic, a boat, a truck to tow it, and some tackle. There is much more that goes into it than that. Here is the checklist I’m working on:

Fishing Knowledge (Almost 45 years)

Boating Knowledge (Almost 30 years)

Rods, Reels, Lures, Bait, Weights, Line

Safety Equipment

Coast Guard License

Insurance

Oregon Guide and Outfitter’s License

Clatsop County Business License

Spring and Summer Moorage

Web Page

Online Booking System

Social Media Profiles

Bank Account

Oregon LLC Registration
